Pictures from my parents' cameras

This will be light on the words and heavy on the photos from my mom and dad's cameras.

Fun in Grandma and Grandpa's room in Beijing.

Heading out to go pickup Abbie.

Our first breakfast in Beijing.

My little helper.

Waiting for airport transfer in Beijing

In the van on the way to the Beijing airport to fly to Nanchang.

Playing peek-a-boo with brothers in the back of the van.

Walking to the supermarket from our hotel in Nanchang.

Adam being chastised by the clothes police (Chinese grandmothers) for not dressing Abbie warm enough.

Eating McDonalds in the hotel room in Nanchang.

Diving in the bath tub.

Breakfast in Nanchang - only the second time she's let us put her in a highchair.

Me being chastised for not dressing her warm enough.  This was one of about twenty times this happened today.

Nancy and me with our babies in Ergo carriers.

In front of women doing tai chi in the People's Park in Nanchang.

Playing with mommy's face is GREAT fun.

Perfecting her wave.

Waving at people as we drive by in the taxi.

Waiting for a taxi after an afternoon at the flea market.

Relaxing back in the hotel after a busy afternoon!

If we know each other in real life - as in you know our family well enough to know our address - and you're interested in seeing more pictures, I've posted them here (http://photobucket.com/tochinawego_early).  The password for the album is the name of the street on which we live. (This is a new album.)

  1. Great pictures! And I know it's just so wrong, but I get a kick out of all those fingers wagging in your faces -). We didn't get that with Helen in Rwanda, but now that we are home, elderly african america grandmas always want to give us advice. Most of the time it's done politely with a lot of love for Helen, altho sometimes not. we just roll with it.

  2. The part about the Chinese grandmas made me laugh. We had the same experience when we adopted our daughter from Kaz. It would be in the 70s and all the kids would be in their winter clothes except ours. I think the 20 layers of clothes they put on her in the orphanage on top of the thermostat being kept at 80 is the reason I can't get her to wear a jacket today even when it is snowing.

So happy to see things are going well. She is too cute!
